📚 About StreamGeeks Academy

StreamGeeks Academy is a specialized computer lab designed to teach students like you the exciting world of broadcasting. You'll get hands-on experience that will prepare you to volunteer in your local community, live streaming events such as worship services, school sports, and graduations.

👥 Who We Are

• Students: Ages 8-11, from grades 3-5 • Program Duration: 8 weeks of after-school enrichment • Run by: TAYA (Tilghman Area Youth Association) • Key People: Martha Donohue (Teacher), Liz Gonzalez (TAYA Director)

🎯 Our Objectives

• 🎥 Teach you the basics of live broadcasting and streaming technology
• 🖥️ Give you hands-on experience with cool broadcasting equipment and software
• 🤝 Encourage you to get involved in your community through volunteer live streaming projects
• 🏆 Help you develop teamwork and project management skills

In our Broadcast Club, you'll have the chance to try out different roles:

• 📊 Project Manager: Oversee projects and keep everything on track

• • 🎛️ Technical Director: Manage the technical side of broadcasts
• • 📹 Camera Operator: Control the cameras during live broadcasts
• • 🎚️ Sound Technician: Make sure everything sounds great
• • 🎨 Graphics Designer: Create cool visuals for the broadcast
